Football: Yeovil Town 0, QPR 1: Penalty does Glovers again

YEOVIL Town lost out yesterday (Saturday, September 21) to a single penalty for the second successive home game at Huish Park in the Sky Bet Championship.

The Glovers more than matched and, even, outplayed the mega-rich QPR visitors but failed to put away an opportunity in front of goal.

The key moment came in the 75th minute when Yeovil defender Dan Seaborne was adjudged to have fouled Charlie Austin in the box.

Austin himself then got up and converted the spot-kick past Yeovil keeper Wayne Hennessey.

A crowd of 9,108 – including more than 2,100 QPR fans – were inside the packed Huish Park stadium and Yeovil fans went home wondering when the Glovers’ fortunes will change.

QPR keeper Rob Green was in excellent form and made a number of top saves from the likes of Joe Ralls, Joel Grant and Andy Williams.
