Football: Burnley 2, Yeovil Town 0: Glovers are disappointed with startYEOVIL Town have probably surprised many outside of Huish Park at the start they have made this season in the second tier of English football – one win from three matches and in the two defeats they have suffered they have put up decent fights with Birmingham City and Burnley.

But Glovers’ boss Gary Johnson has said that a three-point haul from a maximum of nine points so far in the Sky Bet Championship is not as good as they would have wanted.

“We haven’t come in this league to be the whipping boys,” he told the BBC following today’s (Saturday, August 17, 2013) 2-0 defeat at Burnley.

“But we’re actually a bit disappointed at the start.”

He said that some of his players had yet to “hit” Championship form.

And he added: “We’ve got to be careful of a pattern where we become shrinking violets in the last 25 minutes.”

The two successive defeats have seen Yeovil go into the half-time interval locked at 0-0, but have then conceded second period goals.
