Skittles: Wagtail march on at the top

RUNAWAY Division One leaders Yellow Wagtail B remain unbeaten at the top of the Yeovil Skittles League with 15 straight wins.

Their latest victory saw them defeat Wessex Sports by 54-pins with G. Westlake hitting 53.

The Waggies lead second-placed Westland Choppers by 60 points, although the Choppers have a game in hand in which to reduce the deficit marginally.

Young Lions are leading Division Two by 32-points having lost just one of their opening 15 games to the season. But their 14^th success came with a narrow three pin win over Bradford Sports.

The big match of the week came in Division Three where two of the title challengers went head-to-head.

Three at a Time overcame the leaders, Maca’s Muppets, by eight pins; while fellow championship hopefuls Railway A went down to an 11-1 defeat against GWRSA.

Cannon Fodder march on at the top of Division Four with a 29-point lead over Above Standard. Their latest success came with a 10-2 win over Hendford Halt.

League officials have announced that Division Four side Left, Right, Dorset have withdrawn from the league.

There was a rare event in Division One with a drawn game when Sparks and Pirates could not be separated on 278-pins apiece.
