Football: Yeovil Town v MK Dons

YEOVIL Town will be hoping to put the frustrations of the past week or so behind them when they return to npower League One action tonight (Tuesday, January 29) at Huish Park.

The Glovers entertain MK Dons in an important League One clash with both teams vying for places in the play-off zone.

Yeovil's recent good form has been halted with two blank successive Saturdays. Their scheduled home match with Preston North End on January 19 was postponed because of bad weather, while last Saturday's game at Oldham Athletic was also cancelled due to Oldham's FA Cup Fourth Round involvement.

But Yeovil will be back in business tonight where they come face-to-face with one of the league's fancied teams. Dons stand just one place in eighth above Yeovil in the table and just one point.

Yeovil boss Gary Johnson would dearly love to get three points tonight to put his side once again within touching distance of the play-offs.

Tonight's match at Huish Park with MK Dons kicks-off at 7.45pm.

MK Dons will be tough opponents and they will go into the game in confident mood following their excellent 4-2 FA Cup victory at Premier League outfit Queen's Park Rangers on Saturday.

Yeovil are again at home on Saturday when they play host to third-placed Brentford who notched an excellent 2-2 draw with Chelsea in the FA Cup last Sunday to earn a lucrative replay, while Oldham - who Yeovil were due to play last weekend - obviously gained  a superb 3-2 win over Liverpool.

And it should not be forgotten that the hero for non-league Luton Town in their famous 1-0 win at Premier League side Norwich City on Saturday was scored by Scott Rendell, who had a loan spell with the Glovers a few years ago.

Tonight's match with MK Dons at Huish Park kicks-off at 7.45pm.
