Football: Yeovil Town v Preston North End - MATCH OFF

YEOVIL Town's npower League One clash with Preston North End scheduled to be played this afternoon has been postponed.

The decision was taken yesterday following the overnight snowfall which has left Yeovil and much of the region under a layer of the 'white stuff.'

The official reason for the cancellation is due to 'safety reasons' and, considering the weather, totally understandable and not at all surprising.

A new date for the re-arranged fixture has yet to be made, but it will be a cause for frustration for Yeovil manager Gary Johnson with his side looking to push on in their bid to get into the play-off spots, especially after the 'high' of last weekend and the excellent 2-0 success at Sheffield United.

But not even Johnson can do anything about the weather....
