Skittles: Nightcrawlers can concentrate on league bid after cup exit

THERE was a shock in the First Round of the Nomination Cup for Divisions One and Two in the Yeovil Sports Skittles League with cup holders Nightcrawlers being bundled out of the competition.

Fellow Division One side Motley Crew dished out a 22-pin victory over Nightcrawlers to move through to the next round.

Nightcrawlers, currently third in the Division One table, can now concentrate on pushing for league title honours with them just five points behind leaders ODS.

Division One basement side Phoenix might still be looking for their first win in the league, but they enjoyed that winning feeling in the Nomination Cup with a 22-pin win over Rovers, of Division Two.

Croc’s Lot, who had a bye in the First Round, will face Ooo Unlucky in the Second Round.

Ooo Unlucky certainly lived up to their name as all other First Round winners have received byes to the Third Round.
