Football: Yeovil Town 2, Wycombe Wanderers 0

YEOVIL Town moved a step closer to a Wembley Final tonight with a 2-0 success over Wycombe Wanderers in the Southern Area Quarter-Final of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy competition. 

Ed Upson put Yeovil 1-0 up on 32 minutes and then Sam Foley doubled the advantage on the stroke of half-time.

The Glovers dominated the game throughout and were worthy winners over their npower League Two opponents.

Other teams to go thorugh to the Southern Area Semi-Finals are Oxford United who beat Plymouth Argyle on penalties, and Southend United who defeated Brentford 2-1.

Quarter-Final ties in the Northern Area of the competition saw wins for Bradford City, Crewe Alexandra and Coventry City.
