Football: Johnson proud of Yeovil Town display
YEOVIL Town boss Gary Johnson (pictured) was delighted with Tuesday night’s 3-1 npower League One success at Shrewsbury Town.
Goals from Paddy Madden (two) and James Hayter put Yeovil in command of proceedings, although Shrewsbury gained a consolation with a penalty in the closing stages of the game.
Johnson, speaking to the BBC, said: “Not only did we have a good workrate, but we defended and attacked as a group.
“I thought the penalty decision was harsh, but at least it made us concentrate right to the end.”
Johnson added: “We had some colossal performances and you can’t pick anyone out.
“I was standing on the line and I was proud of that group that we have put together.”
