AN electricity pole on the outskirts of Yeovil was struck by lightning early this morning (Friday, January 3, 2014). One fire engine from Yeovil was mobilised at just before 5am to the incident at Sutton Bingham. Firefighters confirmed that the electricity pole had been struck by lightning and had suffered slight damage.
