Flat fire at Stoke

FIREFIGHTERS were called out in the early hours of this morning (Thursday, January 2, 2014) to deal with a fire at a home in Stoke-sub-Hamdon.

Two fire engines from Martock were mobilised at 0.35am after getting a call about an incident at a property in Norton Road.

Officers found one flat heavily smoke logged and that there had been a small fire involving a microwave oven.

A spokesman for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: “The cause of the fire is believed to be accidental.”
