LEISURE: Trip to the Imperial War Museum

LEISURE: Trip to the Imperial War Museum

A FASCINATING and interesting day out to the Imperial War Museum on Saturday, May 28, 2016, is being planned by Yeovil-based South West Coaches Ltd.

The Imperial War Museum in London tells the story of those whose lives have been shaped by war, from the First World War to the present day. There are many interesting and moving displays, showing the ravages of war.

Founded as the Imperial War Museum in 1917, the museum was intended to record the civil and military effort and sacrifice of Britain and its Empire during the First World War.

The museum's remit has since expanded to include all conflicts in which British or Commonwealth forces have been involved since 1914.

Wander at leisure among the many exhibits.

The coach on Saturday, May 28, 2016, will leave Yeovil at 7.30am and Wincanton at 8.05am and it will cost £22.50 for adults and £18.50 for children.
