GIRLS FOOTBALL: On the ball at Holyrood

GIRL footballers from Holyrood Academy in Chard were thrilled to play against nearby AxeValley on a new 3G surface.

All the girls from the Under-13 and Under-15 teams really enjoyed playing at the excellent facility.

The Under 15s, captained by Jordan Jarvis, played in a very competitive match with two superb goals from Abbie Carslake, who scored a volley from a Jordyn throw in, and Chloe Garland who scored into the top right hand corner when she saw the keeper off her line. Holyrood ran the hosts close, just losing out 3-2.

The Under 13s played some excellent football, and despite losing Kirsty Hooper to injury early on, goals from Katie Beale (two) and Ellie Hull (one) led to a 3-1 win.
