LEISURE: Experiencing the upstairs and downstairs of Lanhydrock with South West Coaches
THE Yeovil-based South West Coaches will be running a trip to the country house and estate of Lanhydrock in Cornwall on Sunday (October 18, 2015).
Lanhydrock has the feel of a wealthy, but unpretentious family home and visitors will discover two sides of Victorian life.
You will see the kitchens, nurseries and servants’ quarters which offer a thrilling look into life “below stairs” and then the luxurious family areas with elegant dining room and spacious bedrooms which reveal the comforts of “upstairs” living.
Tickets are priced £29.95 for adults and £18.95 for children, or £17.95 for National Trust Members.
The coach will be leaving Wincanton at 7.30am and then from Yeovil at 8.30am.
