CHRISTMAS 2014: Festive fun at Zero Project Under-18’s party

FESTIVE fun is the aim of the game at the Zero Project Under-18’s Christmas Party later this month.

The party is being held at Club Neo in Stars   Lane, Yeovil, on Monday, December 22, 2014, from 7pm to 11pm and will include a free fun photo booth for all attendees to enjoy. Entry on the door is £5.

Zero has been successfully running under 18 events during school holidays for year 9 students upwards and attracts young people from across Somerset and Dorset.

A Zero Project spokesman said: “Yet again the youngsters get the opportunity to enjoy a good night out in a safe environment. Our Christmas event is always well attended and we’re looking forward to another safe and fabulous evening.”CHRISTMAS 2014: Festive fun at Zero Project Under-18’s party

Following the success of the Young Promoters initiative, Zero has continued to engage young people from the three Yeovil academies and StanchesterAcademy to participate in the organising and promotion of events whilst working towards a national accreditation qualification.

The Zero Project is a multi-agency initiative that was established in 2007 with an aim to reduce anti-social and binge drinking by providing a safe, alcohol free environment for Year Nine students to 17-year-olds. The project is fully supported by the police, district and county councils, local businesses, schools and youth organisations.

The Zero spokesman added: “The Zero Project recognises that parents may have concerns about allowing their child to attend an event at a nightclub.

“Members of the team are more than happy to take questions from parents who can email zero@southsomerset.gov.uk or phone 01935-462439.”
