SKITTLES: Good start in Yeovil League for Waggies

REIGNING Division One champions Yellow Wagtail B started off the 2014-15 season in convincing style with a 12-0 win over Unstoppables in the Yeovil Skittles League.

The only merit score of the week in Division One saw D. Beare, of Westland Choppers, hit 54 in his side’s 9-3 win over Traders.

RAOB, freshly promoted from Division Two, started the season off with a 28-pin defeat against Westland A Exiles.

Division Three champions Oddballs began life in Division Two in good form with an 11-1 win over Bradford Sports, a team relegated from Division One last term.

Royal Marine, who narrowly missed out on promotion from Division Two last season, began the new campaign with a 9-3 win over Wessex Wyverns.

Mighty FishHeads duo, O. Watts and T. Sum, were in good form with merit scores of 58 and 55 respectively, but they were on the losing side as they went down to a nine-pin defeat against Pin Heads, who had I. Dare in even better shape with a merit score of 60.

Top individual knock of the week came in Division Four where G. Norman hit 63 for Troubleshooters in their 9-3 win over Above Standard.

Green Dragon enjoyed a 12-0 whitewash of Dragon Bites Back.
