FOOTBALL: Tintinhull gain point

TINTINHULL gained a point last night (Tuesday, August 26, 2014) in a 2-2 draw at home to Mere Town in the Dorset Premier League.

Mere took the lead inside 15 minutes, but Tintinhull were back on level before half-time when Joe Smith latched on to Jacob Bromfield’s low cross into the box.

But Mere re-established their goal advantage in the early part of the second period with a good effort.

Once again Tintinhull stormed back and Loic Herouard pounced on a defensive lapse to put in Bromfield to equalise.

Mere twice struck the woodwork to have won the game, while Tintinhull also had chances, but they had to settle for a share of the spoils at the end of 90 minutes.

Tintinhull are back at home again on Saturday (August 30, 2014) when they play host to Sturminster Marshall.
