Skittles: Great knock for Mighty FishHeads in Yeovil League

CONSERVATIVE Club and Yellow Wagtail B shared the lead at the top of Division One in the Yeovil Skittles League at the end of the round of fixtures played on September 23, 2013.

They made it three wins from three outings with successes against Wessex Sports and Traders respectively.

Third are Westland A who enjoyed an 11-1 win over Bradford Sports.

Royal Marine hold a narrow one-point lead over Wessex Wyverns at the top of Division Two.

Three at a Time lost 10-2 to Marine, while the Wyverns chalked up a 10-2 win over Blake and Fox. Royal Marine and Wessex Wyverns have won each of their three opening games to the season.

The Marine Machine is also in good form in Division Four and hold a five-point lead over second-placed Wanderers following their third successive win of the campaign – a narrow eight-pin win over YetminsterSC.

Top individual knock of the week came in Division Four where A. Gooder hit a superb 73 for Mighty FishHeads in their 10-2 win over Sfinkters.

Above Standard and Gazelles share the lead in Division Three with 100 per cent win rates from their opening trio of games.
