Panto society appeals for chorus members

THE award-winning Yeovil Amateur Pantomime Society is recruiting cast members for its 2014 production.

The society will be performing Dick Whittington at the Octagon Theatre in Yeovil from January 28 to February 1.

The group is looking for people aged 16 and above to join the all-important chorus line.

Society spokesman Louise Reid said: “You don’t have to be able to dance or sing, but willing to try!”

The group rehearses most Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7.15pm until 9.30pm.

Anyone wanting to give it a go should contact Louise who will tell you when and where the next rehearsal will be.

The society is also looking for sponsors and companies to place an advert in the panto’s programme.

The society’s 2013 show was Cinderella and won the main Cinderella Trophy at the annual Somerset-based Pantomime Awards in May.
