Auditions for Octagon Theatre pantomime

DARE we say it, but Christmas and the festive season is just around the corner. O yes it is – that’s official!

The Octagon Theatre in Yeovil, in partnership with Evolution Pantomimes, is looking for girls to be part of the juvenile ensemble for this year’s Christmas pantomime – Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

The auditions will take place on September 29 at 1.30pm at the Octagon Theatre.

To audition girls must be aged between eight and 15 years inclusive on September 1, 2013.

Auditions will end at about 3.30pm but those auditioning may have to stay longer if they are successful.

A spokesman for the Octagon said: “Those wanting to audition should bring water but no other food or drinks, and should come wearing comfortable clothes and soft/dance shoes. Those auditioning will be taught a routine on the day.”

The Octagon Theatre requires a total commitment to the pantomime from the rehearsal period to the full run of performances from Saturday, November 30, to Sunday, January 5, 2014.

The Octagon spokesman added: “Anyone wanting to audition must be fully aware of this commitment.”
