Yeovil Youth Players present The Spelling Bee
THE Yeovil Youth Players group performed at the Swan Theatre tonight (Wednesday) with the opening show of its latest production.
The Players are presenting The 25th Annual Putnum County Spelling Bee.
The competition is intense. The words are hilarious. Let the spelling begin! The show centres around a fictional spelling bee in Putnam County, New York.
Six youngsters face off in the battle of their lives. They compete against each other as well as members of the audience.
Three adults help adjudicate the proceedings: a nostalgic former spelling bee winner, a mildly insane Vice Principal and The Official Comfort Counsellor completing his community service to the state of New York.
It is wildly hilarious and must be seen!
The show continues tomorrow (Thursday), Friday and Saturday (March 28-30).
Tickets are priced £8 for adults and concessions £6. The show starts at 7.30pm.
To book tickets contact Helen Geen on 01935-476413.
