Christmas fun day at Preston Sports Centre in Yeovil

CHRISTMAS comes early to Preston Sports Centre in Yeovil this year as Santa arrives there for a free Christmas Fun Day for all the family on Saturday (December 1).

Santa won’t just be finding out who has been naughty or nice this year but encouraging everyone to get fit with a whole host of festive fun activities at the new £800,000 leisure centre which opened in October this year.

Between 12noon and 3pm  there will be decorations to make, faces to paint, a children’s Christmas party to have fun at and lots of high-energy activities for all the family to take part in.

Look out for the ”man in red” on the indoor go-karts or taking on the challenges of the climbing wall or maybe he will be taking a breather in the special Christmas Grotto.

The manager of Preston Sports Centre, Matt Harras, says that the Christmas Fun Day is a great way to get the countdown to Christmas started and to try out some of the great facilities at this fantastic new sports facility.

"Children start getting excited about Christmas fairly soon so why not burn off a bit of pre-Christmas excitement at the centre where all members of the family can try out the climbing wall as well as a wide range of sports classes and activities," he said.

"The event is a great way to keep the children entertained and to find out what you really want for Christmas, a happy and healthy New Year at this exciting new sports centre for Yeovil."
