ANGLING: John wins Round Eight of Summer League at Dillington

ILMINSTER Angling Association members fished Round Eight of the Summer League at Dillington pond on Sunday (August 14, 2016) and once again the weights were excellent with a very close frame despite bright and sunny conditions.

John Dursley had the top weight on the day with 21lb 8oz of bream and skimmers on the pole from peg 14, only an ounce behind was Adie Bishop with 21lb 7oz of bream and skimmers on the groundbait feeder from peg 5. Graham Field continued his great run of results with around 350 fish on the short pole for 19lb 12oz from peg 20.

After eight matches and dropping the two worst results, the league is very tight with Graham leading with eight points followed by Ashley Tomkins on nine and Alvin Jones with 13.

Round eight is on Sunday, August 28, 2016, and the draw is at the Royal Oak, Ilminster, between 8.30am and 9am.
