SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES: A great year of fundraising at Preston

THE fundraising Parents-Teachers Association group at Preston Primary School in Yeovil has been overwhelmed after raising nearly £10,000 during the past year.

The school’s recent summer fair coined in an amazing £3,980 to take the overall total for 2014-15 up to £9,500.

A spokesman for the PTA said: “Thank you to each and every one of you who supported our fair.

“During the school year we raised more than £9,500. A massive thank you again to all who has donated, helped and supported us.”

The spokesman added: “Goodbye and good luck to all the Year 6s who are heading off to secondary school and all the teaching staff heading for pastures new.”
