ELECTIONS: Battling it out in Ilminster for SSDC

THE election for two seats up for grabs on South Somerset District Council in Ilminster will be an interesting contest.

Carol Goodall will be looking to retain her seat for the LibDems, while Val Keitch will be hoping to win the second seat for the party to replace Kim Turner who is standing down.

Stuart Shepherd and Sean Clarke are standing for the Conservatives in Ilminster, while voters are also being given the opportunity to vote for UKIP candidate Don Kinder, Peter Lansdown for the Green Party and Paul Sellers of Labour.

Voters go to the polls in the district council election on Thursday, May 7, 2015 - the same day as the main General Election.

Ilminster Ward (2 seats): Sean Clarke (Con); Carol Ann Goodall (LibDems); Val Keitch (LibDems); Don Kinder (UKIP); Henry Peter Lansdown (Green); Paul John Sellers (Lab); Stuart Richard Shepherd (Con).
