ELECTIONS: Who will win at Somerton and Frome?

THERE will be a new name representing the Somerton and Frome constituency at Westminster following the General Election on May 7, 2015.

David Heath is standing down as MP after having won four elections for the Liberal Democrats in one of the most closely-fought constituencies in the country.

Mr Heath won in 1997 with a 130 majority and that figure rose to 668 in 2001. In 2005 his majority went to 812 and at the last election of 2010 that rose to 1,817.

Hoping to retain the constituency for the LibDems on May 7, 2015, will be David Rendel, while standing for the Conservatives will be David Warburton.

Labour will be represented by David Oakensen, Alan Dimmick will be standing for the UK Independence Party, Theo Simon for the Green Party and Ian Angell as an independent candidate.
