SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES: Preston strengthens links with Ghana partner school

PRESTON School in Yeovil has strengthened links with its partner school in Ghana.

Jonathan Peace, who is head of global understanding at Preston which is also a business and enterprise academy, visited Hark Mount Sinai Senior High School in Akropong-Akuapem during the recent half-term week.

He met with students and staff and the school’s new headteacher Mr Siameh.

Mr Peace worked on eight projects with the students during the week, as well as watching the student choir perform songs and the cultural group perform traditional Ghanaian dances.

A school spokesman said: “There are plans for students to collaborate further on additional cross-curricular projects and it is hoped that a full student exchange may take place in 2017.”
