LIVE THEATRE: Still time to enter Let Me Entertain You!

THE Octagon Theatre Foyer Club’s Let Me Entertain You talent competition in Yeovil is back for its third year and there is still time to enter.

Auditions begin in March and this year’s lucky winners can look forward to a fantastic £1,000 cash prize towards furthering their talent.

Auditions take place on Sunday, March 22, 2015, and Tuesday, March 31, 2015, and are open to all talents, ages and abilities.

So if you have a burning desire to sing, dance or perform any other talent this is your opportunity to get up on stage and show Somerset what you can do - closing date for entries is March 12, 2015.

From the auditions the top acts will be selected to go through to two live semi-finals where audiences will once again have their say as to who should go through to the grand final where a £1,000 top prize is up for grabs.

If you’ve attended the previous shows you’ll know how inspiring the competition really is as it displays a vast array of stunning local talent and celebrates the community as all the acts support each other in their drive to win.

The competition has so far enjoyed two incredible years of celebrating local talent. Previous winners/performers have gone on to perform with big names such as Bob Geldof as well as to develop their talents further through various competitions and performing opportunities.

The Octagon’s deputy theatre manager, Kate Wigmore, said: “We have been astounded by both the level and range of talent on show in Let Me Entertain You over the past two years and are excited to see what lies in store for this year’s competition.

“The Final of Let Me Entertain You is one of Team Octagon’s favourite nights of the entire year. The atmosphere is simply electric and this outstanding celebration of local talent is not to be missed.”

To enter the competition simply complete an application form - available on The Octagon Theatre’s website - and return it to: Let Me Entertain You, The Octagon Theatre, Hendford, Yeovil, Somerset, BA20 1UX. Single entries are just £10 and groups of 4 or more are £25.

The Let Me Entertain You Semi-Finals will take place on Saturday, April 25, 2015, and Sunday, April 26, 2015, and followed by the live Final on Saturday, May 9, 2015.
