Rugby: Ivel Barbarians 1sts suffer heavy defeat

THERE was fresh disappointment yesterday (Saturday, October 12, 2013) when Ivel Barbarians 1sts fell to an 82pts-8 defeat away at Wimborne in the Southern Counties South.

Ivel were soundly beaten by the promotion-chasing team and they remain still looking for their first success of the 2013-14 campaign.

They are second from bottom of the table with Weymouth at the basement.

Wimborne are second in the table having now won all five of their opening fixtures of the season.

If there was a positive to be had for Ivel yesterday was the fact that North Dorset thrashed Weymouth 85pts-5, with the Yeovil-based side having drawn 31pts-all with North Dorset the previous week.
