Football: Pen Mill stage comeback in Yeovil Saturday League

PREMIER Division front-runners Pen Mill and Brhoden had to settle for a point yesterday in their top-of-the-table clash in the Yeovil and District Football League.

Hosts Pen Mill were in trouble at half-time with Brhoden having opened up a 2-0 lead, but the home side came back at their visitors in the second period at Johnson Park to gain a share of the spoils in a 2-2 draw.

Martock United were in good form yesterday as they beat Milborne Port Reserves 7-1 to maintain their joint top of the table status along with Stoke who enjoyed a 4-1 win over Normalair Reserves.

FC Barton Leverkusen moved third with a 4-2 success over Ashcott.

Mudford made it five wins from six outings with a narrow 1-0 success over Somerton Reserves to move six points clear of second-placed Montacute at the top of Division Two.

East Coker moved third with a comfortable 5-0 win over basement side Pen Mill Reserves.

Division Three leaders Ilchester maintained their 100 per cent record with a fourth straight win yesterday – a 6-4 success at lowly Victoria Sports Reserves.

Basement side FC Barton Leverkusen Reserves gained their first point of the campaign with a 4-4 draw at Charlton.
