FIREFIGHTERS were called out this morning following a traffic collision on the A303 Cartgate Roundabout on the outskirts of Yeovil. The incident happened at just before 10am and firefighters from Martock and Yeovil were mobilised. They discovered there had been a collision between a lorry and a highways vehicle, but nobody was trapped within the vehicles.

SOMERSET NEWS: Woman rescued from lift

ONE elderly woman was rescued this morning (Tuesday, July 1, 2014) after getting stuck in a lift at a home in Somerset. Two fire engines from Burnham-on-Sea attended the scene in Rectory Road in the town at just after 8am. Firefighters released the woman uninjured from the lift by using small tools.
