PRESTON School in Yeovil held a red-themed non-uniform day on Friday (May 8, 2015) and raised nearly £750 for the Nepal Earthquake Appeal.

Students and staff donned their red items of clothing and raised a total of £731.95 for the appeal.

The Piers Simon Appeal and its School in a Bag initiative was set up in memory of former Preston student Piers Simon who was killed in the Asian tsunami of Boxing Day 2004.

Piers’ brother Luke Simon, who founded the PSA, said he would like to thank everyone at Preston for their continued support.

A JustGiving webpage set up by the Piers Simon Appeal specifically for the Nepal Earthquake Appeal has so far amassed a whopping £9,122 online. If you would like to donate – please go to: https://www.justgiving.com/NepalEarthquakeAppeal2015/ .
