SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES: Classical experience for Westfield students

SIXTY-FOUR students from Westfield Academy in Yeovil went to see Madame Butterfly at the Royal Opera House at the end of last term.

The Opera House put on a schools matinee for each production and schools can apply for tickets which then go into a ballot. Westfield was delighted to win tickets!

A Westfield spokesman said: “The whole day was fantastic and thoroughly enjoyed by all and many students said what an experience it was to have watched a performance at the Royal Opera House.

“What with Madame Butterfly trip and a Night at the Proms, it has been a very classical year for the Westfield music department.”
