ELECTIONS: Official list of candidates for Somerton & Frome Constituency

THE official list of candidates standing in this year’s General Election on Thursday, May 7, 2015, for the Somerton & Frome Constituency has been announced.

The statement as to persons nominated and notice of poll has been issued by the returning officer at South Somerset District Council for the election of a MP for Somerton & Frome.

The names, place of residence and descriptions of the candidates remaining validly nominated for election and names of the people who signed the nomination paper for each candidate can be found on the council’s website.

But in a nutshell and in alphabetical order – the candidates are as follows:

Ian Paul Angell, Independent.

Alan Ivor Dimmick, UK Independence Party.

David Alan Oakensen, Labour.

David Digby Rendel, Liberal Democrats.

Theo Simon, Green Party.

David John Warburton, Conservative.

The polls on Thursday, May 7, 2015, will be open from 7am to 10pm.
