DARTS: Great tournament at Chard Town FC

A TOTAL of 52 players entered a darts tournament last night (Saturday, February 21, 2015) held at Chard Town FC.

The club’s Zembard Lane headquarters was transformed into a darts venue as keen darters from around the area converged to try and win the £100 first prize.

But it was Ashley James who took the tournament title after beating Darren White in a brilliant final.

A club spokesman said: “It was a cracking night – our first-ever darts tournament.

“Thanks to all those who entered and congratulations to Ashley James.

“We hope to run another competition very soon. Thanks to everyone who made it a success.”

Players came Bridport, Radstock, Sturminster Newton and Yeovil, as well as locally, to take part in the competition.
