CLUBS AND SOCIETIES: Yeovil Youth Theatre gains award nominations for The Addams Family

THE Yeovil Youth Theatre has received a number of nominations in the Somerset Fellowship of Drama David Beach Awards for its production of The Addams Family.

The talented group put on the comedy-filled show at the Octagon Theatre in Yeovil from November 18-22, 2014.

Erin Damon has been nominated in the Best Youth 16 and Under Female category for her portrayal of Morticia, while James Matthews has been put forward in the Best Youth 17 to 21 Male category for his role as Uncle Fester.

The YYT has been nominated in the Showstopper category for its Just Around The Corner routine in The Addams Family, while it has also been put forward for the Challenge Trophy.

The Awards Evening will be held on Saturday, March 14, at Somerset County Cricket Club in Taunton.
