THE hilariously funny full-length stage show of Allo Allo will be performed later this year by members of the Chard Light Operatic Society.

CLOS will be putting on the show at the Guildhall in Fore Street, Chard, from Wednesday, March 25, 2015, to Friday, March 27, 2015, nightly at 7.30pm.

There will also be a bar and a raffle.

Tickets are priced £8 and will be available from Barron’s in Holyrood Street, Chard, from March 2, 2015.

Allo Allo! was a hugely successful BBC TV sitcom which was broadcast from 1982 to 1992 and comprised 85 episodes.

The story is set in a small-town café in Nazi-occupied Franc during the Second World War and is a parody of another BBC programme – the wartime drama Secret Army.

Allo Allo! made stars of some of its cast including Gorden Kaye as café owner Rene and Carmen Silvera who played his wife Edith, plus Vicki Michelle, waitress Yvette who was madly in love with Rene.
