CRICKET: Another derby for Ilminster and Chard

ILMINSTER play host to arch rivals Chard tomorrow (Tuesday, July 22, 2014) evening in the Somerset 20-20 Cup competition.

Play starts at 6.15pm with the Shed at the Ilminster Recreation Ground opening at 6pm.

It will be the fourth time the two sides will have met this season and so far Chard have yet to win a game.

Ilminster have done the league double over Chard by winning at home and away in the Premier Two division of the WEPL and they also beat their near-neighbours in the Baker Cup competition.

Can Chard get one over their rivals or can Ilminster make it 4-0?

And just for fun ahead of the game – we would like you to send us your suggested caption for the photo above of Chard’s well-known vice-chairman and ground sub-committee chairman Bruce Crabb (left) and Ilminster’s legendary groundsman John “Pally” Pallister.

Send your suggested captions to the Yeovil Press at yeovilpress@gmail.com or comment on the various Facebook listings.

No prizes for the person with the winning suggestion – but they can take the glory.

And PLEASE keep them clean!
