Golf: Peter Allis is coming to the Octagon

CALLING all golf fans – the voice of the fairways, Peter Allis, is returning to the Octagon Theatre in Yeovil to give his thoughts on the game.

An Audience with Peter Allis will be held at the Octagon on Wednesday, February 12, 2014, from 7.30pm.

Peter Allis was described by Gold Digest as the “greatest golf commentator ever.” He is much more modest claiming that he’s a golf commentator only because he is “an old player, a lover of the game and a good weaver of stories.”

He has been broadcasting for the BBC since 1961 and has recently taken his one-man show on the road and now the “weaver of stories” is coming to the Octagon again.

Peter visited the Octagon similar evening a couple of years ago and the audience was enthralled and delighted at his stories.

Tickets are priced £20; and £18.50 for groups of ten or more and Footlights members.
