Chimney fire at Royal Oak

FIREFIGHTERS were called out this morning (Sunday, February 23, 2014) to deal with a chimney fire at a pub on the outskirts of Yeovil. The alarm was raised at just after 9.30am to the incident at the Royal Oak pub at The Green in Stoford. One fire engine from Yeovil was mobilised and officers said that the cause of the fire was believed to be accidental.
Fire involving wheelie bins

FIREFIGHTERS were called out this afternoon (Saturday, February 22, 2014) to deal with a blaze in Yeovil involving wheelie bins and rubbish containers. The alarm was raised at just after 3.30pm to the incident in Biddlesden Road on the Abbey Manor estate. Officers found three wheelie bins and two refuse containers well alight with the fire spreading to a storage structure.
