SCHOOL NEWS: Art fun for Chard School pupils
PUPILS at Chard School had a fantastic morning at the Thelma Hulbert Gallery in Honiton looking at the prints of the famous British Pop Artist, Eduardo Paolizzi.
The curator, Anna, then showed the children how to make plaster of Paris relief tiles by pressing random objects into plasticine and pouring the plaster on top - a technique used by Paolizzi to explore sculpture.
The school is looking forward to welcoming Anna back to the school in coming weeks with the Double Elephant Print Company who will show the children various print techniques.
