SCHOOL NEWS: BMX champ is an inspiration for Holyrood students

FORMER Holyrood Academy student Liam Brown returned to his old classrooms in Chard to look at a unique poster which details his achievements.

As part of Holyrood’s “Inspirational Posters” campaign, which celebrates past students’ success and aims to motivate current students, Liam is featured as a successful British and BMX National Champion. He was awarded Young Somerset Sports Achiever of 2015 and is hoping for an Olympic medal in the not-too-distant future!

Seen here is Liam, before he departed for intensive training in Manchester, delighted at seeing the poster and thrilled that his achievements might act as inspiration to others to succeed.

“Wow! The photo is almost life-size!” he said.

“I hope it shows that anyone can achieve their dream. I am a believer in that it takes great commitment and passion to achieve your goals but with the right support and training, anything is possible!”
