SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES: Science trip for Chard pupils

PUPILS from Chard School attended the recent Science Week held at King’s College in Taunton where they were able to find out how fireworks go bang.

There was an exciting demonstration in the college lecture theatre by a leading pyro-technician Matthew Tosh who gave some loud and bright demonstrations of all that fireworks can do, including some interesting science on how it all works!

The children also had a chance to draw their invented island animals in an art display as part of a topic on species found in the Indonesian Archipelago.
