SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES: Praise from the MP for Swanmead

YEOVIL MP Marcus Fysh has praised the work which is being carried out at Swanmead Community School in Ilminster to continually look towards improving standards and achievements.

Mr Fysh visited the school on Friday (October 2, 2015) and met with Swanmead headteacher Mark Walker and had a tour of the school.

“It was really interesting to talk through the progress that SwanmeadSchool has made in the last few years,” said Mr Fysh.

“The school has an amazing amount to offer local pupils, and it was great to discuss ways in which I can help, in particular with fairer funding.”

Mr Fysh will be working with other Somerset MPs to petition the government and ask for fairer funding for Somerset pupils.
