PROMS 2015: Siberian Huskies get Charlotte to Wadham’s Prom!

THE last thing you would expect to see charging into Haselbury Mill on a hot and balmy night would be a team of Siberian Huskies who are more at home with the snow and ice of the Arctic and Antarctic – but, hey, this was no ordinary night.

Year 11 students from Wadham School in Crewkerne gathered at the Mill for their end of year prom last night (Wednesday, July 1, 2015).

Wadham has a history of causing a stir at their prom night with the creativity and ingenuity of the students and their parents to see who could arrive in style in the most unusual mode of transport – who can forget from a few years ago the lifesize Barbie Doll boxes?

Last night was no different and there was a cavalcade of diggers and tractors, sports cars and motorbikes, camper vans and vintage vehicles who safely dropped off a throng of smartly-dressed students.

But it was Charlotte Eardley who should take the prize for the best form of transport – being pulled along by a team of four very enthusiastic Huskies.

The students were able to enjoy a meal, while outside there was a bouncy castle and other games for them to enjoy afterwards.
