PROMS 2015: Stanchester students turn on the style

GORGEOUS weather greeted a cavalcade of transport as students gathered at Haselbury Mill last night (Wednesday, June 24, 2015) for Stanchester Academy’s annual Year 11 prom.

Parents, family members and friends congregated outside the Mill’s Tithe Barn as the students arrived in style for their farewell party.

The boys were dressed in smart suits, while the girls dazzled in their stunning dresses.

Teaching staff mingled with the students as they made their own personal farewells to those they had taught at Stanchester.

PHOTO - TOP: While most turned up for the prom in classy sports cars or fun-loving camper vans - this cheeky chap arrived riding a mobility scooter and got the biggest laugh from on-lookers.

But once again it was the procession into Haselbury Mill which grabbed the limelight as the students arrived in a convoy of camper vans, fire engines, military vehicles, tractors, sports cars, an old bus and, even, a mobility scooter.

It was a great night for students to bid farewell to their time at Stanchester Academy in Stoke-sub-Hamdon.
