SCHOOLS AND COLLEGES: Holyrood Sixth-Formers get together before exams

SIXTH-FORM students at Holyrood Academy in Chard held a leaving get-together at Hornsbury Mill ahead of their crucial exams.

The largest number ever from Holyrood’s Sixth Form enjoyed their farewell lunch and presentations before their final exams and subsequent departures for pastures new.

Students were awarded with a Tutor Statement to include in their CVs as well as gifts from their tutors.

The students also presented Karen Seib, head of Sixth Form, and Gloria Johnson, Sixth Form assistant, with beautiful gifts as a thank you for all their support.

It was a delightful afternoon, enjoyed by all and providing a lasting memory and time to reflect and celebrate students’ achievements of their time in the sixth form and to wish each other a successful future.

Students are heading off to varied destinations including top universities such as Exeter, Cardiff and Surrey, as well as Art Foundation courses, apprenticeships and employment.

Mrs Seib, head of Sixth Form, said: “It was a splendid evening and a good time was had by all. All the staff were extremely proud of the students and wish them the very best for their futures.”
