ELECTIONS: Public hustings in Crewkerne

WADHAM School in Crewkerne will be the venue tomorrow (Thursday, April 30, 2015) for a public hustings event with candidates standing in the Yeovil constituency at next week’s General Election.

Serving MP David Laws, of the Liberal Democrats, will be there along with Conservative candidate Marcus Fysh, Simon Smedley of UKIP, and Emily McIvor, of the Green Party.

The Labour Party will be represented by Murray Shepstone with their candidate, Sheena King, unavailable to attend.

The hustings will take place from 7pm to 9.30pm and this will be an Any Questions style meeting where people will be able to question candidates about a wide range of issues and hear them talk about their values, why they want to be a MP and what they would look to do if elected.

The General Election is being held next Thursday (May 7, 2015) with polls open from 7am to 10pm.
