ELECTIONS: Official list of candidates for Yeovil Constituency

THE official list of candidates standing in this year’s General Election on Thursday, May 7, 2015, for the Yeovil Constituency has been announced.

The statement as to persons nominated and notice of poll has been issued by the returning officer at South Somerset District Council for the election of a MP for Yeovil.

The names, place of residence and descriptions of the candidates remaining validly nominated for election and names of the people who signed the nomination paper for each candidate can be found on the council’s website.

But in a nutshell and in alphabetical order – the candidates are as follows:

Marcus John Hudson Fysh, Conservative.

Sheena King, Labour.

David Anthony Laws, Liberal Democrats.

Emily Rachel McIvor, Green Party.

Simon Smedley, UK Independence Party.

The polls on Thursday, May 7, 2015, will be open from 7am to 10pm.
