CLUBS AND SOCIETIES: CLOKS delighted with town council grant
MEMBERS of a talented Chard-based youth group have thanked the town council for a £500 grant.
Officials from the Chard Local Kids Society for Music and Drama group, better known as CLOKS, were delighted to receive the grant from Chard Town Council.
This money will go towards buying backstage equipment – headsets and an intercom system.
A CLOKS spokesman said: “This will be a great help to allow the smooth running behind the scenes of our shows.”
The CLOKS will be performing the ever-popular musical Guys and Dolls at the Guildhall in Chard from June 25-27, 2015, and rehearsals are already in full swing.
