JOBS: Software developer wanted by Hark Solutions Ltd

CREWKERNE-BASED Hark Solutions Ltd is looking for a software developer to join its team.

The post has a salary of between £18,000 and £24,000 depending on experience and will see the successful applicant work in a small team and given a great opportunity to demonstrate their skills as a creative developer and to influence the design and development of software that will be used by global brands.

Hark is a software company that provides digital work books and buyers guides to global brands in the footwear, apparel and consumer electronics industries on both desktop and tablet devices.

With a worldwide client base, Hark is now looking to recruit a software developer.

JOB SPECIFICATION:

Key responsibilities and accountabilities include:

Developing new code to agreed standards and procedures.

Extending existing programs by implementing new features and enhancements.

Testing, Investigating, analysing and documenting any defects that arise.

Working closely within the development team and with other staff, such as project managers, graphic designers, data team, and sales and marketing.

Problem-solving as part of a team, or individually, to meet the needs of the project.

Documenting development and issues though source control and bug tracking systems.

KEY SKILLS:

To be considered for this role you must have:

A degree in relevant subject.

Practical programming skills in either ActionScript and/or Java.

Demonstrable examples of your previous work with source.

Although not essential, skills or experience in any of the following would be beneficial to your application: Apache Flex / Adobe Air, MySQL, XML and related technologies, AWS (Amazon Cloud) or Linux.

With your positive attitude and ability to work effectively, you should be self-motivated and able to work hard, often under the pressure of tight deadlines.
